During this unprecedented time, and the daily changing actions by the Federal, State, and local governments with their responses to the COVID-19 pandemic; we want to assure you that the health and well-being of our South Shore communities are at the forefront of our thinking. We have taken proactive measures to address the issue of Coronavirus as it pertains to our valued clients, advisors, friends, families and partners and are closely monitoring all developments related to COVID-19. We are here to assist you with your concerns and want to share important information about the steps we are taking to meet this new challenge head on.
We are enormously grateful for the dedication, high standards, and caring of everyone who works for Engel & Völkers, South Shore. We are committed to doing everything we can to help keep you safe.
We will be following the guidelines as published by the Boston Public Health Commission and the White House COVID-19 Task Force recommendations as of March 16th. As information is updated, we will be adjusting our protocol accordingly.
It is our advice that all public open houses be eliminated for the next three weeks. However, if they are to occur, we are taking proactive steps to comply with the President’s order and prohibit any more than 10 persons in a home at one time. Visitors will be asked to wait outside in a que that includes enough space for social distancing. We will have hand sanitizer, gloves and booties available for anyone entering the home and wipe down common surfaces frequently.
For our Sellers: we are still actively showing properties and in place of open houses, we are encouraging a “showing day” such as Saturday from 10 to 2. Your Advisor will set up time slots for individual showings rather than a full open house. This is in addition to any regular showings and is only meant to replace an open house. Let's get creative on how to work around this situation safely.
For our Buyers: we are happy to continue to take you around to see the properties that you are interested in. We strongly suggest that you use our website to review each of the listings prior to scheduling an appointment. We may be able to narrow down your search and therefore your exposure. As another option, we are happy to do a face time or virtual tour for you as well, should you not want to walk through each property.
A “work from home” policy has been implemented for all Advisors, which was put into place on Monday morning, in an effort to keep our spaces virus free. Essential personnel will still be available for all things related to our transactions and our clients needs.
All three shops have been disinfected and we will continue to maintain a high level of cleanliness. We will continue to regularly sanitize all workstations, shared spaces and surfaces.
Should you need to visit us at one of our locations, please be sure to contact an Advisor directly to schedule the meeting in advance. We have drop off locations in effect for delivery of items, documents and checks, however please be sure to contact an Advisor prior to heading out to one of our shops. In addition, we are fully equipped to handle all transactions on-line, from digital signing, electronic payments to document management.
We do ask that if you are not feeling well, or have traveled outside of the US recently, please let us know so we can make an informed plan for you and your housing needs.
On another note: We see the positives…there is strong demand in the market place, historically low interest rates and an early spring season. There continues to be multiple offer situations and low inventory. With the feds reducing the borrowing rate for banks to 0%, this is an unprecedented time to purchase AND sell a home!
We want to thank you in advance for your understanding while we navigate this situation. Together we will not only get through this, but we will do so successfully with positive results for all. We hope that you and your family stay healthy, and appreciate your patience as we find our way through this. Please do not hesitate to contact me, your Advisor or our office should you have any concerns.
Sincerely,
Dawn Hadley
